Funchal values the creativity of its artists and artisans, whether local or foreign, living in the archipelago. It is their love and affection for a more appealing city, which has given rise to various artistic projects in our city.

There are several suggestions, such as the project “Arte de Portas Abertas”, where many doors of residences and establishments in the Old Quarter were painted, the park benches scattered around the city with paintings allusive to typical regional elements, the parking meters with free paintings, watercolours, tile panels and murals with various tributes.

This is a way of celebrating the city, stimulating the creative and artistic potential of all those who have the taste and gift for this type of Art.
