Projeto Arte Portas Abertas
This art’s project, in the historic area of Funchal, opens the city to artistic and cultural events.
The doors selected for this initiative are from abandoned houses, shops and deteriorated spaces that are given a new life, thus transforming the oldest part of the city into a permanent art gallery.
There are about 200 doors painted in Rua de Santa Maria, with the participation of important figures in the Madeiran artistic panorama, such as the architect Paulo David and the decorator Nini Andrade Silva.
