Monte do Imperador
This event called “Monte do Imperador” is an event organized by the Monte Parish Council and in 2022 with the partnership of the Municipality of Funchal.
This event celebrates the passage of the last emperor of the Austo-Hungarian Empire through the island of Madeira where he lived his last days in the Manor House that today is called Quinta do Imperador, the place where this event takes place.
You can enjoy the Garden that opens at 10 a.m. and take advantage of the activities available such as horseback riding, carriage rides, hammock rides, appreciate the work of embroiderers, cooperage and painters, listen to the folklore bands and watch the parade.
This event aims to take visitors back to the year 1922 where they can taste delicacies of the time while enjoying the atmosphere of the 1920s.
