Terreiro da Luta Viewpoint
Besides the beautiful view over Funchal bay, another important landmark of this viewpoint, in Monte parish, is the marble-carved statue in honour of Our Lady of Peace.
In 1917, when German U-boats bombarded Funchal, the people united in prayer and in the promise that once peace was achieved, they would pay homage to Our Lady of Monte.
