Fontes de João Diniz (João Diniz’s Fountains)
João Diniz’s Fountains, located in the wall of São Lourenço Palace, were built in 1490, and in 1495 underwent new restoration works, under the responsibility of Gomes Garcia and other subordinates.
These fountains would have the function of supplying the city and the ships arriving at the Funchal Pier.
