Estátua do Papa João Paulo II (Statue of Pope John Paul II)
The statue of São João Paulo II, the first and only pope, to date, to visit the Island of Madeira, who has since been canonised, is located in the square of Funchal Cathedral and was designed by the sculptor António Augusto Lagoa Henriques (1995).
