– Adapted for the blind, with the Audioplage system. This system allows blind people or people with reduced mobility to swim freely, in total autonomy and in excellent safe conditions, with the help of the following equipment available:

– Line of buoys equipped with sensors, which inform, through sound signals, users about the depth of the sea, also indicating the distance from the beach and its direction.

– A bracelet that allows you to know exactly where the user is located in relation to the buoys and is fitted with buttons that, when pressed, allow you to know the location in relation to one of the three buoys. There is also an emergency button that, when pressed, alerts a lifeguard.

– There are three wheelchairs that help in the process of entering the sea: one called “hipocampe leisure” and two of the “Tiralo” model.

– Sets of amphibious crutches are also available.

– The process of entering and leaving the sea is carried out using a wooden platform, which helps people with reduced mobility to reach the sea. Along with the platform, there are information panels both for the blind and the general public, with information in Portuguese, English and Braille.
