São João Evangelista Church
Popularly known as Igreja do Colégio, it is a magnificent example of the 17th-century Mannerist style.
The church has a beautiful collection of altarpieces surrounded by gilded carvings and is considered one of the most beautiful Portuguese temples of its time and one of the richest churches on the island of Madeira.
