Palácio de São Lourenço

The palace stands in a strategic point of defence on the Island (Zarco Avenue). It is considered as the greatest civil and military architecture on the island. Its construction started in the first half of the 15th century and was concluded in the Spanish dynasty that reign in Portugal from 1580 to 1640.
