Quinta Plameira Garden
Originally owned by Harry Hinton, Quinta Palmeira has an area of approximately 30,000 m² and is situated just up the street from Levada de Santa Luzia. Its heir, Henrique Jaime Welsh, currently owns it.
Quinta da Palmeira’s garden has stunning views over Funchal, high botanical interest, large trees and a Manueline window that used to be in João Esmeraldo’s house, where Christopher Columbus is thought to have lived.
